Description des services: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Sandy Lake First Nation

Responsible for planning, developing and implementing social, recreational and special events for members of the community from school aged to elders
  • Provides recreational services at the Sandy Lake First Nation Arena
  • Maintains arena ice surface and equipment
  • Oversees a volunteer-operated concession booth at arena
  • Provides a community outdoor ice rink known as Moccasin Square Garden
  • Coordinates community events such as Treaty Days
  • Works with other community programs to host organized events
Coordinates a variety of activities including:
  • Annual Derek Kakegamic Memorial hockey tournament
  • Seasonal broomball games
  • Cheyanne Kakegamic Memorial broomball tournament
  • Annual Fishing Derby with top prize of new truck
  • Winter road bingo game
