Description des services: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Pic Mobert First Nation

  • Political Territorial Organization: Anishinabek Nation, Union of Ontario Indians (UOI)
  • Robinson Superior Treaty


Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
  • Hospital services available in Marathon and Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre
  • Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Anishinabek Police; Pic River Detachment, ph: 807-229-2242 or 1-800-438-5638, fax: 807-229-0145
  • Child and Family Services worker provided through Dilico Anishinabek Family Care
  • Co-owns White River Forest Products lumber mill with the community of White River
  • Provides a community confectionary, Cheryl's Variety Store
  • Provides a Community Hall for meetings, feasts and community events
  • Celebrates weekly Mass service each Wed with visiting Father from Manitouwadge
  • Publishes a monthly community newsletter
  • Administers education services and Netamisakomik Centre for Education for students from JK-Grade 8 through the Education Department
  • Provides health care and health programs at the Pic Mobert Health Centre
  • Offers daycare services for community members at Pic Mobert Day Care Centre
  • Operates a Volunteer Fire Department
