Offers a variety of independent living support services to individuals with a developmental disability
Supports individuals with a developmental disability to live in a home of their choice, to acquire work, and to participate in recreational and leisure activitiesSupports are designed to directly enrich the quality of life by encouraging individuals to maintain their independence and learn new skills
Employment Services
- Strives to achieve "Real Jobs for Real People" by assisting adults with a developmental disability to become employed
- Provides customized employment and career services to meet the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities
- Assists in developing an employment plan, resume, and interview preparation as well as job search
- Provides job coaching and follow up to promote employment success
Community Supports
- Enhances a person's involvement in the community
- Develops supports with individuals to meet their needs and desires
- Supports individuals to acquire and maintain skills that will assist them to be a part of their community
- Participates in community programs offered in recreation, leisure, and/or education
- Assists with personal shopping, grocery shopping, menu planning, list preparation, food storage, food safety
- Utilizes various community services such as public transportation and financial institutions
- Encourages individuals to participate in various community volunteer opportunities
Independent Living
- Provides the necessary support to enable people to live in their own homes
- Emphasizes and develops all aspects leading to independent living
- Provides support services based on the individual's wants and needs, with the goal of independence in the community
- Determines the required support through the development of a personal plan
- Support can range from a few hours a week to 24 hours a day
