Provides protection from fire, life-threatening emergencies and dangerous conditions through education, prevention, rescue, suppression and basic life-support servicesResponsible for fire bylaws or regulations and for issuing burning permitsRecruits volunteers as FirefightersCodeRED - Emergency Notifications- Citizens of Manitouwadge can register to receive emergency notifications by phone, email, text and social media, to be informed of emergencies such as evacuation notices, utility outages, water main breaks, fire or floods, chemical spills or other emergency situations
- Compatible with TDD/TTY devices for those with hearing impairments
- No charge to register; personal information is kept confidential
- Individuals and businesses may add as many phone numbers, email addresses and texts numbers as they choose
