Description des services: Provides programs and services for homelessness prevention and to assist individuals who are homeless
  • Provides support in accessing available community services for the homeless
  • Conducts street outreach to provide warm blankets and food to those in need
  • Provides advocacy and referrals to needed supports
  • Coordinates community presentations and workshops to raise awareness of homelessness
Services also include:
  • Food bank at the Friendship Centre
  • Transportation, temporary shelter assistance and discretionary funds in emergency situations only as determined on a case-by-case basis
  • Drop-In Centre during regular hours at the Friendship Centre

Procédé et formulaires: Requires a signed consent form and completion of program intake form


Emergency Discretionary Fund and Emergency Shelter: Must contact Homelessness Outreach Worker to make arrangements


Emergency Transportation: Call office; transportation provided as soon as possible
Admissibilité / population desservie:
  • Individuals and/or families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless

  • Open to all with a focus on off-reserve Indigenous people


Emergency Discretionary Fund

  • One time financial assistance to individuals requiring emergency funds for appliances, shelter, transportation or are at risk of utilities being cut off

  • Individuals on verge of eviction due to non payment


Emergency Shelter

  • Individuals who require temporary shelter

  • One time only to a maximum of 3 days
