Description des services:
  • A network for youth from all cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds working to promote acceptance, respect and appreciation of diversity
  • Organizes recreational, educational and other social activities to promote healthy lifestyles
  • Holds dances every Fri night from 8pm-12 midnight
  • Offers special programs and activities for children (7-11 yrs) such as summer camps run by volunteers
  • After-School Program
    • Encourages young people to organize their own activities eg. workshops, dances, games and other fun activities to keep them off the streets at night
    Drop-in Multicultural Youth Centre
    • Offers facilities for meetings, workshops, socials, study, tutoring, computer access, and networking
    • Has members and affiliate groups throughout Northwestern Ontario
    Revolution Girls Style Program
    • Educates young women about their rights and any issues that affect their well-being
    Band of Brothers Program
    • Educates boys and young men about manhood, life skills and social responsibilities
    Study Groups
    • Helps students to do well in school
    Youth Leadership Development Training Program
    • Teaches youths to plan and organize their own activities
    • Offers reception and orientation for new immigrant and refugee youths who come to Thunder Bay from other countries
    • Provides orientation sessions for Indigenous students from remote communities coming to study in urban centres to help them adapt to city life
    • Offers "Youth Working for Change" that incorporates race relations, safer communities and environmental campaigns
