Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:- Serviced by air through the Thunder Bay Regional Airport
- Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements provided by Anishinabek Police Services, Fort William First Nation detachment
- Child and Family Services worker provided through Dilico Anishinabek Family Care
- Provides an indoor arena including 2 full-size rinks, a physical fitness centre and a gymnasium
- Provides several gas station/grocery store facilities on-reserve
- Offers St Anne's Catholic Church parish on-reserve
- Offers a business park at east end of community which is home to several enterprises including Band Office and Wasaya Airways
- Publishes a weekly newsletter available on website, emailed to member in-box, or at Band Office
- Owns the Anemki Mountain Corporation which manages most office and community buildings
- Home to the Loch Lomond ski hill, Chippewa Park (amusement and wildlife park) and Nor'Wester mountains located in the W portion of the community
- Receives local bus service provided by Thunder Bay Transit; Route 6 Mission serves the community eleven times between 7:30 am and 6:40 pm, Mon-Fri
- Hosts an Annual Pow Wow in July on Mt McKay (Animikii-wajiw), considered a sacred site
- Coordinates weekly bingo games at the Mountain Bingo Hall located in the Community Centre
- Administers an Education Department for all community students who attend schools in the city of Thunder Bay; coordinates Awards & Bursaries for students
- Provides health care and health programs at the Health Centre
- Operates a community Youth Centre
