Administers programs and services focused on improving the quality of life for Indigenous people living in an urban environment
Urban Indigenous Homeward Bound EarlyON Offers services, ongoing support and education to enhance the lives of young children and families- Provides opportunities for children from birth to 6 years of age to participate in play and inquiry-based programs with an emphasis on Indigenous culture, and helps support parents and caregivers in their roles
- Offers a safe and welcoming environment open to all families
- Families and caregivers will be able to find support, advice, make personal connections and access a network of resources
Homeward Bound Daycare- Provides licensed childcare for 30 children ranging in age from birth to 12 years old, in a Family Age Group Setting
- Offers two classrooms with programming that offers inquiry-based learning opportunities for all, following the document, "How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years", with an added emphasis on Indigenous culture
- The family age group setting allows for the integration of all ages so children can readily learn from each other at their own pace and developmental level
Both are located within the Homeward Building at Dryden Native Friendship Centre
