Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Gull Bay First Nation- Tribal Council: Nokiiwin Tribal Council (NTC)

Operates a community-based food purchasing system that makes fresh fruits and vegetables available to community members who are managing certain health conditionsProvides a voucher for participants to use towards buying fresh produce at the Kiashke Zaaging Anishinaabe Community Food Market that operates year-roundPartners with Roots to Harvest to offer the market

Procédé et formulaires:

- Referrals processed through Dilico Health Services by Registered Dietitian
- Once referral is processed, participant will be notified and given voucher; amount depends upon family size
- Vouchers are available once per week to a maximum of 15 weeks

Admissibilité / population desservie:

Members of Gull Bay First Nation who meet one or more of the following:
- Are referred by a Health Provider
- Managing a chronic, dietary disease such as diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure etc
- Experiencing regular gaps in accessing healthy, fresh food
- Managing a health condition that would benefit from increased access to fresh produce
- Willing to participate in surveys
