Description des services:

Provides an alternative Native child welfare program which is administered by each of the Rainy Lake Tribal Area First Nations communities
Supports youth in their transition from the child welfare system to adulthood
- Offers a voluntary, short-service program through a youth drop-in facility up to a maximum of 12 weeks
- Tailors a service plan for each client based on their needs
Supports and programs may include:
- Assistance with applying for disability services
- Cultural programs that support individual wellness
- Educational planning and support such as funding and applications
- Employment and training resources that may include resume development, interview skills, job entry training and introduction to trade skills
- Life skills programs such as budgeting, household management, and communication skills that support living independently
- Housing support including access to available housing and applications
- Specialized training programs that include training stipends

Admissibilité / population desservie:

- Indigenous youth 15-24 years of age leaving the child welfare system
- Individual ongoing support provided for Indigenous children in care or youth aged 15-25 years on Extended Care Maintenance
