Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation
- Tribal Council: Bimose Tribal Council (BTC)
- Political Territorial
Organization: Grand Council Treaty #3 (GCT3)Treaty #3
Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following: - Hospital/ambulance services available at Dryden Regional Hospital in Dryden
- Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Treaty #3 Police Services, Kenora East Region
- Child & Family Services provided by Anishinaabe Abinooji Family Services
- Provides the Wabigoon Lake Community Store/Gas Bar and Girly's Restaurant
- Coordinates community events, meetings and activities at Wabshki Penasi School Gymnasium
- Owns and operates a Wild Rice Processing Plant located on-reserve; the only one in Canada
- Owns a logging enterprise which builds forest access roads and supplies regional mills with logs
- Operates a tree nursery that supplies 6 million seedlings annually under contract to forestry companies
- Serviced by air through the Dryden Regional Airport located 34 km NW of community
- Administers Wabshki-Penasi School for students from JK to Grade 8 and offers the Abinooji Learning Centre
- Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation was the first community in the Treaty #3 region to hold an open and public "traditional powwow" in the 1970's
