Description des services: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Niisaachewan Anishinaabe Nation

Functions as the governing centre for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
  • Serviced by air through the Kenora Airport, located 9 km NE of Kenora
  • Provides a Community Centre which is a hub for activities and events; available for community members to book for private events
  • Provides many cultural activities including Pow-wows, community sweats, sharing circles, arts and crafts, and traditional healing and Elders activities
  • Hosts community feasts, winter carnival, many sports activities such as hockey tournaments and baseball tournaments
  • Child and Family Services workers on-reserve provided through Anishinaabe Abinooji Family Services in Kenora
  • Hospital and ambulance services available at Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora
  • Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Treaty #3 Police; call 1-888-310-1122 for police services to be dispatched to reserve, or Kenora Central/West Patrol Zone ph: 807-548-5474, fx: 807-548-8387
