Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Wabaseemoong Independent Nation
- Tribal Council: Bimose Tribal Council (BTC)

Territorial Organization: Grand Council Treaty #3 (GCT3)Treaty #3
Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
- Child and Family Services provided independently under the direction of Anishinaabe Abinoojii Family Services
- Hospital services available at Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora
- Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Wabaseemoong Police Station, Treaty #3 Police Services; Wabaseemoong Patrol Zone ph: 807-927-2085, fax: 807-927-2235
- Provides the Whitedog Post Office
- Offers a Resource Centre which serves as a youth drop-in centre
- Provides a community water tower and treatment facility
- Participates in partnerships with Wincrief Homes and Miisun forest management
- Administers Mizhakiiwetung Memorial School for students from K-Grade 12 and the Wabaseemoong Independent Nation Day Care Centre
- Offers the Wab Shki Biney Seek Calai Health Centre
- Community members severely affected in 1960's-70's by mercury poisoning; federal gov't funding of $19.5 million announced in Sep 2020 for health facility for community members with mercury poisoning
