Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Ojibways of Onigaming First Nation- Tribal Council: Anishinaabeg of Kabapikotawangag Resource Council
(AKRC)Political Territorial Organization: Grand Council Treaty #3 (GCT3)Treaty #3
Responsible for fire prevention and administration of the Ontario Fire CodeIssues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, excluding campfiresProvides the following services:- Education
- Emergency planning
- Fire investigation
- Fire suppression
- Hazardous materials information
- Home safety which includes ensuring all homes are equipped with smoke alarms and charged fire extinguishers
