Administers bicultural child protection and prevention services for First Nation children and youthFocus is on providing services that respect Anishinaabe heritage, culture and traditions
Provides services, support and education to heal and strengthen families- Provides holistic, bicultural services with a focus on the values, customs and traditions of the Anishinaabe people
- Provides referrals to other service providers
Prevention services and activities include:- Addiction counselling and support (problematic alcohol and substance use and gambling)
- Advocacy
- Cultural activities (includes teaching cultural values)
- Family planning
- Life skills training
- Networking with other First Nation family support programs
- Parenting groups for youth, men and women
- Recreational events
- Repatriation support
- Social events
- Traditional circles and support groups
- Workshops on healthy living and related family topics
