Description des services: Provides programs and services with a focus on improving emotional, physical and developmental services for children, youth, adults and their families

Provides periodic, short-term breaks to families with a member residing in the home who has a physical and/or developmental disability
In-Home Respite
  • Provides respite to families in Dryden who have children or youth living in the family home with developmental disabilities or on-going medical conditions
  • Offers a varied number of hours depending on needs of family, amount of funding available and availability of respite through other services; hours may be taken throughout the week, overnight or weekends
Planned Out-of-Home Respite
  • Provides funding to parents of high needs children with multiple special needs to assist them in hiring respite workers

Frais: Program - Fees listed on website ; In special cases, families with financial difficulties who cannot contribute the full amount may have fees reduced or waived upon careful consideration

Admissibilité / population desservie: In-Home Respite

  • Families with children 18 years of age and younger living in the City of Dryden or surrounding unorganized area

  • Families residing in the Kenora and Rainy River Districts who do not have planned respite support and where there is a risk of breakdown and/or the child needing long-term residential placement

  • The individual must reside in the family home and have a diagnosis of a developmental disability or

  • Has been diagnosed with an on-going chronic medical condition


Planned Out-of-Home Respite

  • Families with children 18 years of age and younger who reside in the family home
