Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
  • Child and Family Services worker on-reserve provided through Dilico Anishinabek Family Care, Thunder Bay, Armstrong office
  • Hospital services available at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre
  • Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Armstrong Detachment
  • Community members conduct most shopping and business affairs in the community of Armstrong and Thunder Bay
  • Provides an Elder's Complex residence for community seniors
  • Offers events and activities at the Whitesand Multi-plex Community Centre
  • Hosts an annual traditional Pow Wow held since 1980
