Serves as a non-political, regional Chiefs Council which provides support services to five First Nation communities
Provides governance, political support, technical advisory, community development support and advocacy to member First Nations in their quest to build self-sufficient communitiesPromotes Indigenous recognition and cultural awareness of the member First NationsConsists of Chiefs and representatives from each communityProvides services for a collective on-reserve population of approximately 2,872 individualsServes five First Nations, all located within Treaty #9Delivers programs and services in the areas of administration, finance, economic development, education, health and technical services through local community governmentParticipates in and co-hosts the annual Northern Ontario First Nations Environment Conference (NOFNEC) with several other Tribal Councils
