Description des services: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Lac Seul First Nation

Functions as the governing/main Band office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
  • Child & Family Services provided by Tikinagan Child & Family Services, head office in Sioux Lookout; local phone: 807-582-3490, fax : 807-582-3453
  • Hospital services available at Meno Ya Win Health Centre in Sioux Lookout and the Dryden Regional Hospital
  • Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Lac Seul Police Services, Box 39, Hudson, Ont; local ph: 807-582-3802; fax: 807-582-3576
  • Consists of 3 separate communities, Frenchman's Head (over 500 residents) on the mainland, Whitefish Bay (close to 100 residents) on Post Island and Kejick Bay (close to 300 residents) on White Pine Island; all communities are connected by road, causeway and bridge
  • Also includes the small community of Canoe River where 1 family lives
  • Provides several private businesses and the Lac Seul Conference Centre/Arena
  • Supports a public area known as Archie's Landing in Frenchman's Head which serves as an entry to Lac Seul First Nation and a focal point for community activities and gatherings
  • Publishes the Tibaachimowin community newsletter
  • Provides a community gas/convenience store and a few churches
  • Offers the Sahkatcheway Access Centre which houses Ontario Works and a Canada Post postal station
  • Provides an Arena/Conference Centre facility in Hudson known as the Lac Seul Events Centre
  • Provides Obishikokaang Resources Corporation which oversees economic development activities
  • Administers education services and three schools in the three separate communities through the Lac Seul Education Authority
  • Provides health care and health programs at Health Clinics in each community
  • Oversees housing and related programs through the Ke Nawind Housing Development Authority
