  • Provides a community gas/convenience store and a few churches
  • Offers a Canada Post postal station
  • Provides a 5-unit Elder's housing complex
  • Operates an independently managed rough lumber mill for purchase of product in construction of docks, sheds and other projects
  • Offers a public beach and camping area on west side of island known as Sandy Beach
  • Maintains an outdoor skating rink; hosts occasional special events such as Family Skate Day
  • Provides Brian Brisket Memorial Complex as well as a Youth Drop-In Centre
  • Offers education for students from JK-Grade 8 at Waninitawingaang Memorial School and child care through Paw Nah Headstart Program
  • Offers a community health clinic and an Ontario Works access centre
