Description des services: Administers programs and services focused on improving the quality of life for Indigenous people living in an urban environment

Provides support, tools and health programming to help build upon child's ability to make healthy choices
  • Conducts initial assessment and creates plan for each participant
  • Partners with community and other services/programs to offer best possible supports
Services can include but are not limited to:
  • Individual mentoring to address issues of self-esteem, victimization and peer pressure
  • Homework assistance
  • Health and physical development activities
  • Access to traditional activities and cultural education
  • Supports to children and families who may be having difficulties in school and/or in conflict with the law
  • Coping skills, tools and preventative education to children/parents of children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
  • Outreach to Aboriginal children in care
  • Supports for non-Native adoptive and foster parents to access culturally appropriate services
