  • Operates a fully-accredited, 60-bed acute care facility and provides an array of services
  • Administers the William A 'Bill' George Extended Care Facility


  • Provides information, nursing care and treatment services for individuals who have been sexually assaulted or have experienced intimate partner violence
    Offers any/all of the following optional services:
    • A safe place to be heard
    • Advocacy for the rights and safety of the survivor
    • Appropriate legal documentation of injuries
    • Care and treatment
    • Collection of accurate forensic evidence
    • Emergency contraceptive pill (if within 72 hours of assault)
    • Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) testing
    • Referrals to counselling and community agencies
    • Treatment for sexually transmitted infections
    Child and Youth Prevention Services
    • Provides support and prevention services for children and youth focused on bullying, healthy relationships, teen dating violence and intimate partner abuse
    • Partners with local schools, parents and community services to provide interactive presentations/workshops
    Support Services for Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse
    Offers support services and short-term counselling to help survivors deal with the impact of abuse and to develop improved coping strategies

    Admissibilité / population desservie:
    • Individuals 18 years of age and older who have been sexually assaulted within 72 hours or individuals who have experienced intimate partner violence within 5 days

    • Intimate Violence services (domestic abuse) available for females 16 years of age and older


    Child and Youth Prevention Services: available for children and youth 17 years of age and younger


    Support Services for Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse

    Individuals 16 years and older who identify as male or non-binary, and have experienced historical sexual abuse or who are a victim of recent sexual assault

    • must be an Ontario resident

    • families of the survivor may also be eligible for service
