Provides short term financial assistance to individuals and families in needOffers Extended Health Benefits to qualifying individualsProvides information to recipients about participation requirements including seeking employment, basic education, volunteer work, or self employmentParticipants can access a variety of programs and support services including but not limited to:- Child Care
- Clothing Needs
- Community Placement Program
- Discretionary Benefits
- Drug Benefits
- Employment Resource Centre
- Employment Start-up Costs
- Enhanced Employment Placement Program
- Funeral and burial expenses
- Learning, Earning and Parenting
- Pay-Direct to Landlord
- Special Diets Allowance
- Transportation

Individuals can apply online or by contacting the office

Admissibilité / population desservie:
|
Individuals must be 16 years of age and older and:
- Be a resident of Ontario
- Be in immediate financial need to help pay for food and housing costs
- Be willing to take part in activities that will help find employment
- Sign a Participation Agreement
Amount of financial assistance provided is determined by various factors including:
- Assets
- Family size
- Housing costs
- Income
Extended Health Benefits: Individuals and families who:
- Were eligible for Ontario Works in the previous months, or
- Are no longer eligible for Ontario Works because a payment was received for loss of income under the 1986-1990 Hepatitis C Settlement Agreement
Employment Resource Centre: Must be a recipient of ODSP/OW benefits
